-3rd Eye Opener-

I began this piece with a quick pencil
sketch. Then I scanned the sketch and re-drew it in Adobe Illustrator. It was the first time I had used Illustrator, so I didn't really feel comfortable with it yet. So, it lived as a black and white line drawing for about a year (it was even printed on shirts that way - I have some for sale below..) until I decided to come back to it with more Illustrator knowledge. I felt like it needed to be elaborated on, and the composition was not right yet. So I began coloring it, and tweaking the layout until I was happy with it. Most of the way through the coloring process I decided to use it for my buisness cards (click here to see one), but afterwards decided it still wasn't right yet, and kept tweaking it. After well over a year of being "on the drawing board" it was printed in the form you see above on posters which are available below. The next summer (2008) I got it printed on shirts (this time in full color) which was actually what I had wanted for the image all along and are also available for purchase below.
